The Island Challenge is a team event that allows participants to raise money whilst having fun and being challenged!
Have you ever been curious about the assault course at Warwick Camp? Do you feel up to the challenge of walking the high wire or climbing the wall? Have you ever scrambled through the south shore dunes? Tried to run in the ocean? Well, this is your chance and you don't even have to be an athlete!

On Saturday, 10 March 2012 we challenge you to tackle a series of challenges and obstacles, including the Bermuda Regiment's assault course.
Find three friends to join you - teams must have four members - and sign up now for the Island Challenge.
The Island Challenge is open to men and women aged 14 and up.
When you enter, download a sponsor pledge form and ask your framily and friends to support your efforts.
Prizes are awarded in each of the divisions: General (men, women, co-ed teams), Company and Youth.
To win we will combine the points you get for a fast course time with the points you get according to how much money you raise. You will be assessed penalty points for missed obstacles.
If you think your company is up the Island Challenge, enter your team in the Company Division and compete against Bermuda's best in business!
Registered Bermuda charities being supported in this inaugural event inclulde: Raleigh International Bermuda, Knowledge Quest and Bermuda International Film Festival.

Registered Bermuda charities being supported in this inaugural event inclulde: Raleigh International Bermuda, Knowledge Quest and the Bermuda International Film Festival.
Raleigh International Bermuda is a youth development organisation (reg. charity #710) that is passionate about helping young Bermudians between the ages of 17-25 to realise their full potential and to effectively manage the 'day to day' risks they face - drugs, alcohol, crime, anti-social behaviour, bullying, loss of motivation-inspiration-, negative peers, low self-esteem, lack of self-confidence - the list goes on and on.
Raleigh aims to facilitate, empower and support young people to take charge of their lives, contribute positively to society and successfully manage independence and the transition to adulthood. At the same time, we encourage them to behave with tolerance, compassion and understanding and give support to others who are less fortunate or simply different to themselves.
Knowledge Quest (reg. charity #631) helps Bermudians of limited financial means earn respected degrees abroad. For the long term, we increase the number of qualified Bermudians entering the workforce. Currently, Knowledge Quest is enabling 38 Bermudian students, aged 19-47 to earn university degrees in the US, Canada, England and Scotland. Fields of study range from business administration to architecture to environmental studies. Knowledge Quest screens students to determine whether they are unable to pay for studies abroad. Students must apply to at least five other scholarships, since Knowledge Quest is a scholarship of last resort.
The overall goal of the Bermuda International Film Festival (reg. charity #465) is to showcase a broad range of feature and documentary films from around the world that educate, entertain and enlighten. The BIFF Film Academy specifically creates opportunities for students to learn more about the world outside Bermuda and how their actions (or lack thereof) have an impact on others, and to experience a variety of cultures and social conditions. Additionally, the Film Academy aims to provide educational opportunities for students and adults to learn filmmaking skills for the knowledge or as a career option. Not all of us are cut out to be accountants, masons or lawyers...

Facebook: Island Challenge
Island Challenge is being formed as a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee that seeks to raise money for charity through the organisation and execution of adventure events.
It is led by Aideen Ratteray Pryse (click here for bio), who has 14 years experience as an event manager, although she is an urban planner by training. She continues to work for the planning consultancy, ARP Consulting Services.
The objective of Island Challenge is to encourage participants to get sponsorship through pledges and, in return, commit to completing the Challenge event.
The year 2012 is the inaugural year for the Island Challenge.
"I got the idea for doing this in Bermuda after hearing that my sister-in-law and nephew in the UK had a great time participating in the Commando Challenge in Devon" says Aideen. "I hope it catches on here in Bermuda and that we can expand it and continue to raise money for different charities."
